Embers of Hope
Why do embers still glow when love is almost out?
Holding the dim warmth of an emotion is saying you can’t let go.
When the light of the affection has almost been extinguished,
there will only be a chill to your heart and ashes to bury
Memories will linger of a once heartwarming fire of love
Certainty kept it burning, but winds came disturbing the flame
which smothered and smoke of uncertainty became visible.
….and now only the embers of hope glow
