Elysium of St Lucia

climb between the spires
hot bare feet on sugar beach
touch the winding surf
opening and closing eyes
i’ve left earth for heaven’s peak

tour leaves the pitons ~
on the bus, bananas and
warm cassava bread

I swear I never hot footed it so quickly to the water...and that was with only partial bare feet, I was wearing sandals! OUCH! But oh my, nice warm almost hot bare feet in the ocean sand, 'sugar beach' no less, sounds lovely, almost heavenly.
