Notes About The Poem

Painting by Lin Lane

Elle, My Belle Ballerina

Not yet as graceful as the swan she shall be but charming and delightful is Eloise to me. Trying her best to stay en pointe on tiny toes, focusing on pirouettes, she wiggles her nose. Still a bit shy when she knows others are looking. A few years more until The Royal Ballet's booking. This petite ballerina twirls in circles all around in her leotard and tutu or in her pink nightgown.

When she's older, she will appreciate this painting and the fact that in your heart you saw her as a ballerina. Love your painting with your brush and your pen, Lin. A FAV for my list. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Hugs, Bill

She started classes last month and all she wants to wear is something like she's wearing in the painting. lol Thanks for liking this duo, Bill.

Lin, a marvelous painting. It's a wonderful thing and seems influenced by French impressionism. The poem is humorous and a delight to read. Really a pleasure. She is so very lucky to have you and vice versa. I can see you are enjoying and making the most out of the together time. An inspiration to all.

Good morning and thank you for visiting, Duke. She was born during the beginning of the pandemic and I had her for the first 10 months of her life. She's a sweet child with an inquisitive and imaginative mind. I enjoyed your insight, Duke.

Thank you, Jan. She hasn't seen it yet. I think it's instilling a love of painting for her to see herself in those I paint of her. When we paint together, she no longer brushes over my strokes, but watches and tries to replicate. Now, she wants her own easel!

Dear Lin, your poem beautifully captures the grace and innocence of Eloise as she navigates her ballet journey. The imagery of her delicate movements and determination shines through, evoking a sense of admiration and joy. Eloise's journey is depicted with charm and tenderness. Ah, the beauty in striving for our dreams. I always enjoy your poetry - Blessings, Daniel

Good morning, Daniel and thank you for your generous appreciative review of this one. I took several pictures of her practicing when we were alone until with a sweet smile, she asked me if I was going to use them to paint her. ;-) She already knew I would. I place great value in your comments.
