Elixir

Her love threw him out and locked the door.
He broke the lock to reach her.
Her love broke him and pinned him down to the floor.
He crawled his way to her.
But that moment when she tossed his love, he stood. Clueless. Numb.

He saw her eyes fill.
His love was dearer than her soul.
His grief could make her ill.
Ill from the depth of her soul.
So she ran to him and held him, he rose. Stronger and deeper in love.
She was his elixir.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
