Elderberry Flourish
Long summer days now memories
For leaves are turning now.
A tapestry of pastel hues,
Adorning twig and bough.
Still the elderberry though
Hangs ripe upon the bush,
A final flourish, a luscious gift,
Before winter's coming hush.
