El Matador

Pedro, a slick, suave and smooth matador The pride of his native-state, Ecuador He'd flash his red cape The bull would go ape After each pass, the fans shouted, 'Encore!' One time Pedro let the bull come too close The crowd sat in stunned silence, comatose Pedro may have been gored badly Yet he still smiled most gladly 'Time for a new gig,' he said ~ 'Adios!'

This is two darn good limericks, gw. I enjoyed them. I went to a bullfight in Puerto Villarta because I felt I owed it to Hemingway to see at least one bullfight. Never, never again!

Thanks for the nod on the limericks, Milt... As for bullfights, I'm with you. I watched one on TV in 1968, start to bloody finish. That was enough for me. Haven't been back...

Poor Pedro was a bullfighter in Ecuador, Killing bulls was what he adored. He turned and waved to a Senorita. The bull rammed Pedro and she said, "See Ya." Gershon I like your version better. lol

Definitely there comes a time when we need to find a different line of work. I think this was the time for Pedro since he got to live. I enjoyed reading this one today. Soup mail. Sara

No more, encore "Adios" for sure. Don't Fool With a Bull. One of you will come unstuck Pedro, you are a schmuck! I enjoyed reading this Gershon, thank you.

So Pedro's a 'shmuck,' eh? -- Hadn't thought of him that way. Pretty funny, Shirley. Thanks, gw

Wow, Gershon. Limericks are written by the 100’s…. But yours is outstanding, my friend! A perfect combination of all elements! For me a huge FAV. Your sense of humor is like your heart ….which I see as soft and wise! Warmth and hugs, Panagiota xxx

I think that Pedro is moving to 'Cape' Cod, where he'll used his cape to dodge whales. Entertainment Now! lol
