Egg-Strapolations 1

Oh, what a strange feeling, I think I am being ‘watched' ... Oh, over there, there are two eyes! I shall challenge who well whoever it is? ”Hey who are you?” “Whoo whoo” came the reply. Oh well, one thing you could be sure of, Dumpty thought, there was nothing you could be sure of here. “Now look here” he suddenly said to the big eyes, and in stern tone “What do you think you are doing and who sent you?” He added on more suspicious note. At this time the darkness started to fade a bit, and he could make out a sort of medium form up at middle height in the dark air looking down at them! “No just you look here” he said “I have asked you who you are? and you replied with the same question, I think that’s a bit rude to say the least,” he said.. all the time moving a bit closer to try and make out who was there, “As a matter of fact I shall throw something at you if you do not leave now” said Dumpty, reaching out and grasping a large stick he had noticed earlier, “Whoo whoo” came that sound again followed by it saying “no need for that old egg, no need for that at all, I am merely watching over my friend puss here.” “Oh so you don't mean us any harm then” he intoned in relief. “Of course not, I am his friend of many voyages” replied the voice again, “you see me and my friend were on our boat just travelling along giving joy to many when all of a sudden a series of large waves threw our boat about violently and the next thing I knew my companion was gone! I made the vessel safe and I began searching for him and that must have been a month ago. I searched the sea of forgetfulness for all that time until I happened to chance on a turtle who told me he had sighted a cat holding onto a large green bottle heading this way, so here I headed, and now I have found him.” ©JOE MAVERICK 1-3-2014

I can see Dumpty grasping that stick with his ghostly, slimy hands. It takes a bit of imagination to get into your Dumpty follies. Am enjoying though. Love, daver
