Edge of Eternity

Gentle warm winds
sheer white curtains billow
long, slow, morning stretch
soft murmur begs another hour
sun sparkles on a calm sea
long soft kiss starts the day
hands joined on a final stroll
along a sugar sand beach
memories shared
wishes declared
sadness hidden
a life soon to pass
clear cool water
caresses our feet
we watch our toes sink
into the edge
of eternity
