Ecumenically Yours

I make no excuses for the way I feel or what I believe nor do I adhere to everything I've been taught I believe in goodness, kindess, mercy, from above and below and its when I meet nature that I find my religious afterglow; I make no excuses for the way I behave yes I walk with a limp but thats because I escaped from Alcatraz : So, if and when I choose a religion, ITS NOBODYS BUSINESS BUT MY OWN If I have Faith, its not because of a preacher, but because of a teacher who once died, to set me free. When I see Buddha and Christ link arms and smile, then I will know that I have found, my heaven. xo xo

I have never agreed with any poem that I did not write myself any more than this poem. "I walk with a limp but thats because I escaped from Alcatraz : " - funny line!

Absolutely my belief as well! You have read and commented on my poem ‘All is one’! We do much agree in what we are saying! Religion should not be transmitted through the umbilical cord. Children should be free to chose not to have a religion. All should be taught goodness and kindness. will take a long time for society to evolve in that direction! Love what you have written! "If ... faith, not because of a preacher, but because of a teacher who once died/to set me free ..." I wrote something of this as my testimony of conversion, but nowhere as eloquently. Thanks & METTA! Gashho!
