Ecstasy
The spirited incandescent glow of ever-aspirant longing
spreads spectrum of splendor in the fervent sky.
The brush soaked in desire of the beguiled mind paints
passion on my heart’s canvas portraying the hued life.
In the cracked cinnamon ground of the time terrain,
my desert of desolation pervades, sneaking in the sly.
Within the wilted folds of the restive leaf of soul,
the rustle echoes the evergreen hymn of hope.
The psyche weeps the unseen tears in a torrent within,
fills the fathomless cauldron of pining pathos,
but forlorn life’s eternal essence remains verdant
in the thicket of dream on the eroded banks of mind.
The cascading cadence of symphony of emotive zephyr
drifts from the yonder plateau of lasting yearning,
makes ripples of enticing melody in the lilac lake of heart,
pulsating with the eclectic tune of endless ecstasy.
