Ecology of Health

Who am I to another, the one I chance to meet?
Trusting each other, affirms a basic strand of health,
a ground of justice and peace.

Who am I among all plants and creatures? What I eat,
the air I breathe; to get it right roots me here in health,
     companion of bees and trees.

Who am I to myself? – feelings, thoughts, every heart beat.
In truth to know myself, gives me self-respect and health,
enabling me to live at ease.

Here we are in the One who made us, who would complete
in us the best, binding strands, bonds of life for health –
     at peace, from conflict released.
