Echoes Linger On
Silent echoes linger on
When the poet's ink no longer flows
Sometimes the muse is gone
But will return to meet the dawn
Do poets ever truly leave?
Their poems are left behind to inspire those
Who may find words to weave
And write of the dew upon the rose
Poets muses take them far
And let them play among the stars
Poets are really never gone
Though silent echoes may linger on
