Eating With Life

Food fight she yelled
And there was pandemonium in the restaurant
I stared at her for a couple of seconds
Then I flung my spaghetti at the people at the next table
We jumped up and ran out, laughing
We heard the restaurant clapping as we left
It was our first meal together, but not our last

Six months later we decided to have another go at a meal
In a fancy restaurant.
We chose a different place.
We had a pretty expensive meal and I said let’s do it.
She had gotten a responsible job, and people knew her now.
She refused to play.
it was our last meal together
Because she was no longer fun.

Oh, I don't know. At some point in life, 'Food Fight' isn't altogether funny anymore. ... Road Trip! ~ John Belushi, posthumously

I loved Belushi - he could never throw enough food for me.

Oh my, I simply can't imagine a food fight in a restaurant. It would be hilarious, though. It must have been the "responsible" job that made her a fuddy-duddy.
