Eating Out

My momma and my papa
we eat out once a month;
not too near and not too far
a nice and quiet lunch.

We went this time for chicken
they make it oh! so well;
it's all the same, no difference
i taste it, oh! so swell!

As i was having dinner
a lady thus appeared;
confirmed she was a sinner
abused me, that i feared!

It lasted for a long time
i prayed and prayed and prayed;
a way out i couldn't find
His mercy thus delayed.

It ended as it started
persecution ended;
the Lord thus He remembered
my plight the Christ upended.

She went quiet for a while
forgave her in my heart;
all the evil and its viles
rejected thus depart.

Thus a moment's repentance
lost and found and saved;
the Lord required penance
a prayer full of grace.

I told her to pray to God
in all your honesty;
say sorry to the Lord
find love to set you free.

Thus we know that God does care
the evil He unbinds;
to the righteous He is fair
when i eat and drink and dine!

This lesson, harsh be told
you are never just alone;
seek His prayers manifold
He is Faithful! let's atone!

Help is just a prayer away
deny that not my friend;
when thy friends to thee betray
Christ knows thee, He's a Man!

His miracles thus daily
just seek, and pray and hope;
for Christ is Lord, yes! really!
to His Glory we devote!

Amen!

all in a day's work! one of the Beatitudes mentions: "Blessed are you when they abuse and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice! and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the Prophets who were before you." Amen!
