Spring goddess Eostre--Astarte--Ishtar Hares, rabbits--Middle Eastern pagan Spring Festivals Eggs--Traditional Fetisvals--decorated eggs bring happiness, prosperity, etc. Older tradition in liturgical calendar Pentecost, fifty-days after Easter Seventh Sunday after Easter Sunday We get to fifty by including Easter Good Friday—Day of His death—First day Holy Saturday—Second day Easter Sunday—Jesus had risen—Third day The Roman and church in the West, celebrated Easter on the first Sunday Jesus' death and Resurrection, Fourteenth day of Nisan was after the paschal full moon At the Council of Nicaea in three hundred twenty-five, the Church adopted this formula and why Easter always falls on a Sunday, and why the date changes every year. Easter is always celebrated on a Sunday because Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday Sunday was the first day of Creation and Christ's Resurrection was the beginning of the new Creation—the remaking of the world that had been damaged by the original sin of Adam and Eve which is why Easter always falls on a Sunday, and why the date changes every year. I had often wondered how Easter always falls on a Sunday "At the Council of Nicaea in three thousand twenty-five, the Church adopted this formula and why Easter always falls on a Sunday,"

Hi Caren! I didn't see you down here. It just takes a 'lil time to research and pray it's spot-on. I wish I'd listen to my Abuelo...he used to tell me shaking his finger...study! He was a Mason...I went to visit his grave...buried next to my abuela, his brother also a Mason. They have a beautiful tribute to them at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park, in North Hollywood. They worked on the trains in Nogales, morse code. I've seen pictures of him, headset with antennas sticking out of them, he looked like a martian! :)
