Easter Sonneteer

heaven
     appointed
such goldly
          grace
in your
      path
        of flight
*
so calm
     so free
from
  a weary chase
place
to
place
to this
peaceful
       shore
*
grief
      and melancholy
are
    gone
wonderment
pride
  in things
      to come
*

set
    aright
   virtue
      to treasure
a
gracious
      light
once
   obscure
now
  with amiable
       cheer
*
mortality
  held still
unmoved
  absent in the
                   spirit
a
 change
      of voice
whispering
              a
                 hallelujah
so sweet
        so choice
in
  the
      ear
