Easter Prayer
Whisper Your peace
Into my soul,
Gentle my thoughts, my dreams
With Your grace, forever
Releasing victory into my life,
Reminding me of the reasons
That I’m alive…
Breathe Your kindness
Into my spirit,
Encourage my faith, my hopes
With Your inspirations,
Revealing the greatest love to me,
Love I could never imagine,
Love that lasts and gladdens
Me with real freedom…
Silence my doubts and grief
With Your reassurance,
The support that comes to me
Through sincerity, support
That uplifts my soul,
Colors my whole world
In serenity, soothing away
Every dark thing….
Stir my feelings so I bleed
Prayers and praises
Admiration that reminds me
To give You the honor, the glory
Applause for all the ways
You have embraced me with
Tender truth, promises that guarantee
Your sweet love for me
Will always be….
Rain down Your tenderness,
The affection that
Enables me to believe
There is nothing else, no one
In all of history – who could be
The answer to my prayers
For light, love, life that brings to me
Deliverance from the darkness,
The promise of heaven…
Thanks to You, Jesus
I know what it means to believe
And I know what it is to see…
You are and will forever be
Everything to me!
This Easter – my prayer isn’t complete
Without praising You for this grace
That made a way for this blessing to bring
Me through the shadows, into the light
Where You made a way for me to come to life
Through Your spirit – I know the right
That comes to those who believe without doubting,
Who know the wonder and meaning…
Of the sacrifice You’ve given…
This Easter season – I’m praising You, Jesus
The whole meaning, the whole reason
For this life that I’ve been given – to give back
With an open heart, an open hand – to the One
Who had a plan – and saw it through –
So, now I can see – past the cross, past the pain, into eternal life!
