Easter

Easter
By Michelle Morris

It is almost that time again
We remember His sacrificial mission
When Jesus died on the cross
And wiped clear the board of our transgressions

Easter is filled with sadness and celebration
For He died so bloody and brutally
He was treated like a criminal
When the criminals were all of humanity

But He rose again and was glorified
By those who knew His worth
He ascended back to Our Father
And each year we celebrate His birth

For three is that magical number
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit together
Blessings of grace and mercy
All for His Heavenly Kingdom forever

And for those of us who believe
We know that God always knows best
And one day when Jesus returns
Our souls will evermore be blessed
