Easter

We did not gather on this day, No one was asked to sing or pray, No candles lit, no Easter dress, No cleaning up the children's mess, There was no preacher in the stand, No reaching out to touch a hand, A prayer request we did not hear, Today the world was gripped with fear. A Christian's world now felt so strange, One thing for sure that did not change, Amidst the feel of loss and doom, We celebrate that empty tomb, He still arose, He's still the man, The future still led by his hand, So none was lost on this great day, Just honored in a different way, This cloud will pass the sun will shine, And for awhile we'll all be fine.

Georgia, thank you for this Easter poem. Yes, 2020 did not have church gatherings due to the pandemic. U list what was missing, then so aptly add, "He still arose, He's still the man,// The future still led by [H]is hand" - I just added a capital for "his" HAND. I love Jesus, & I will shout it anywhere. amen

I'm glad you enjoyed this. I agree that His should have been capitalized as well as Man. Anything that praises HIM should be noted. :)
