Easier To Run

It's easier to run, but I'm going to face my problems
It may seem impossible, but I'll find a way to solve them
I'm colliding with all obstacles in my way no matter how hard they appear
It's easier to run, but I refuse to give in to my fears

Looking out of the window hoping there's a Brighter day ahead
Just because you don't have the butter isn't a reason to delay the bread
I'm looking to get the bread and make it toast
Hoping that one day, we'll raise our glasses to make a toast

Instead of crying over my dad never being there, I'm smiling because I raised myself
The world didn't give me a thing, so every opportunity I will create myself
Anxiety, so I feel scared when I'm in a crowd
But I will find a way to prove everyone wrong who showed me doubt

Raised in foster care, so they told me I'd end up dead or in jail
They tried to put it in my head that I'd fail
Instead of telling me I can and inspiring me to go and make it happen
But they don't have my heart and their doubt won't replace my passion

While they all take shots at me, I hope I out last the clip
After all the pain, I'll find my own happiness
I'm going to go against all odds and do what they said I wouldn't
Because all the greats were told they couldn't

It's easier to run, but I'm going to face my problems
It may seem impossible, but I'll find a way to solve them
I'm colliding with all obstacles in my way no matter how hard they appear
It's easier to run, but I refuse to give in to my fears
