Earth's Cry

I'm crying out to you
please hear my plea,
I'm falling apart at the seams
I'm losing control
causing havoc…

I've forgotten
where dry land ends
and where the water
is suppose to be…

I'm begging
this was never my plan
humans are ignoring my cries
please save me, please consider
the generations to come…

I'd like to share
my beauty with those
that hasn't seen it yet
but at the moment
everything looks so fragile

My foundations are shaky
I long for the days
when there was harmony,
where we considered each other…

When did it go wrong?
When did I become a second thought?
Don't they know
if balance is disturbed
everything will fall apart?

I read that book some time ago, "Things Fall Apart." It was very interesting. I think people today are not the caring kind as they are supposed to be, as a result, good husbandry of God’s earth has been slipping. Great job! Joseph

A brilliant personified ecological cry, well thought of and well written. How far does your interest in ecology and environmentalism extend? Please message me. Regards, Gavin.
