Earths Child

Earth's child awoke: a breath was drawn before he spoke His voice, as strong as words were wrote His eyes, as far as stars remote, She called his name: A voice, which no one hears the same It's whispers hush the tree's complaints A song that puts the birds to shame, To her, he walked: A step ahead of the night, which stalked with the whisperin' wind, he talked Shed light where it was two shades too dark, He spoke a verse: A sonnet he wrote for his Mother, Earth of all the beauty they would disperse of all the life in which they converse, Together, they cried: Visions of ruins, they could not hide for sake of the planet that has died as the rain left puddles, where the flowers were dried.
