Earthquake

EARTHQUAKE

The earth shook violently…
Everyone rushed out of their homes
And took shelter in the open!

One man
Kept sleeping
And, snoring
Amidst chaos
And, confusion
Created by the earthquake

For him,
It was like the ‘mother earth’
Rocking the son of her soil
In the cradle
And, singing lullaby to him!

You may say that in a lighter vein. Many thanks for your review.

It reminds me of my husband during hurricane nights here in Florida, he sleeps all night and I can't sleep, thinking about all the bad things that can happen. Over the years I have improved, now I can sleep better during a hurricane. Great poem!
