Oooh, very nice, Abe. This haiku does much more than just paint a picture. It creates wonder and fear of Mother Nature's power. Awesome! Love, Carolyn

Good use of imagery and personification for a creative view. Wonderful last line! So much captured in just three lines. Keep up the good writing. Thank you for taking time to comment on my poem. Have a wonderful weekend. Karen

Living in California....we can relate to the hungry earth....it seems to like the West Coastal area..... "knock on wood" we aren't near any major fault line...however we have felt a few shakes over the years! (ps... thank you for your kind comments today. Irene was a dear neighbor.)
