Earth Years, Oft Brief As Sparrow's Flight

Earth Years, Oft Brief As Sparrow's Flight To walk among men knowing not world is ugly, full of its rot. Alas! Gone is youth we once wore and innocence sings, never more! To love too much or not at all past times, sweet treasures one recalls. Earth years oft brief as sparrow's flight yet great blessings when love is right! How we dread, death's eternal kiss as if its dark touch could we miss. Pray mercy for those that remain hold faith we shall see them again! To walk among men knowing not live good life, you already got! R.J. Lindley, July 9th, 1979 Sonnet, (Looking Back From Those Future Tomorrows)

Very, very nice. Today I have considered the little sparrows for they were cheated by hungry squirrels.

Ahh, such a lovely poem it is, I absolutely love reading it and especially the message it contains, your last two lines sums it all up perfectly, you see that death is inevitable, whether you a beliver in religion or not, so live your life happily and have faith, for God has much better plans for you, for He has designed for you a world which is way better than this one, good luck my friend and sicnce it is 22 December today so I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year
