Earth
Earth (sonnetina duo.)
sustaining life in our oceans and seas,
Lush ripe fruit grown on our beautiful trees,
Grasses cereals seeds and soft berries
Strawberries raspberries and red cherries,
Warmth from the sun, refreshing rain from clouds
Secluded places from bustling crowds,
Gentle breezes glorious views and sights
Wine from sweet grapes and other such delights,
Rivers lakes canals ponds and winding streams
ploughman's lunches and ice creams,
Automobiles ships airplanes and fast trains
Machines that help to take all our strains,
Our adored pets and our working animals
Horses dogs elephants dromedary camels ,
Mountains hills ravines meadows valleys
Cathedrals churches and sanctuaries,
Affection love emotion and sadness
Our Past present future and hopefulness,
All that we hold dear, all life, all our worth
We owe to our wonderful rich fertile Earth.
