The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Earth 2014

I came into a world naked, fragile
Found its plants green, filled with colored pallete
Watched it change into garbage, so gradual
As man tore Nature down with his mallet
Payment for destruction, water turned oil
Careless obsession of trees in his way
Litter constant, while the ocean floors boil
Filled with a stench as dead fish decay
Come, Take my hand, we'll watch the sewers flow
What once were rivers, now chemical slick
To fill bellies of children as they grow
Growing tumors on bones, befriending sick

Found guilty already, who'll be the judge
From turning green with color into sludge

This a beautiful sonnet on the destruction of mother earth. We must reverse course and rectify this situation.....Tim

truly my friend but I'm afraid we need a generation to perish before it happens
