Early morning Walk

As i stretch to wake up, i peek outside the living room windows, a dark dreary rainy cool day greets my eyes, another October Fall day in Minnesota, oh well mise as well make the most of it, like us Minnesotans say, "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes it will change." also like a good friend always says, " thus season surely will pass" but this season of fall colors, crisp cools sweater, hoodie weather is my favorite, so please don't let it pass, it can stick around as long as it pleases...

I fill the house with the smell of coffee brewing, I need to wake up, as i had a long night, worrying about my brother and his situation, but worry not, for it wont do any good, i gave it to God, he'll be up all night anyways. The house is quiet, its only 5am, nobody is dare awake at this time, only me because its my time to myself, to think and pray, to give my worries to God, life is too short as I have found out in the past three months, loosing my mom, having to rely solely on myself for advice, support, but never fear, God is always near, some of my family aren't so lucky as to have faith to fall back on..

Coffee is brewed, i toss on a sweater, time to say hello to the outdoors, the birds are starting their song, the breeze wakes me up, i start out on my morning walk, this is my time to renew my soul, being a mom, a wife, trying to juggle so many things at once, thinking about my husband and all the hats he wears, it's no wonder we enjoy going to church every Sunday, we rely solely on our faith, to get us through each day, non stop appointments, phone calls, emails to send, my pace is quickening, i exhale deeply, as i walk around Wolfe park, tall dark trees, wet with the morning dew, squirrels are finding their breakfast, ducks are still asleep, i don't blame them, i find a bench to rest on, taking in the views of the pond, the water is calm, like glass, the reflection of the fall leaves fills the canvas of its mirror..

Time is the thief, as i am ready to depart this blissful place, i bow my head to pray, "Lord Jesus, you know my heart, my worries, our daily stressors, I lift them up to you, Lord, thank you for your Undying love, grace.. I thank you for my blessings you bestow on me, everything that is good comes from you.' Protect me, guide me in your path, not in my way but your way always, I love you Jesus with all my heart, I say these things in your ever loving name, Jesus, AMEN..
