Early Advice For Halloween

It's that time of year the ghouls' are about Dark clouds and a full moon now set the scene Kids will knock my door, trick or treat they'll shout I'll give them sweets so they don't think I'm mean. Last Halloween I was not so lucky Was too busy didn't answer my door I dashed out my house, I was late for work Trod on green slime they had put on the floor. So when you go shopping buy lots of sweets You do not want them thinking that you're mean Then when the kids knock, hand over the treats And light up their faces this Halloween. Will be money well spent, take my advice Green slime on your floor ,they will not think twice. Written 2nd October 2018

All the priceless smiles upon the pumpkins receiving treats will be well worth avoiding the gooey slime haha...cute write setting the mood for Halloween...enjoyed the story within your poem :)

Oh my! Green Slime. I haven't dealt with that. Although, I haven't bought candy either, because where I am, they don't seem to come door to door on this street. Well done Tom :)

Hi Tom, Really enjoyed reading your Poem. Halloween is celebrated to a certain extent her in South Africa, mainly with parties and dressing up. However most of us have electric fences on top of pallisade fences - people are wary to open their gates let alone their door. We have a high crime rate in S.A. In fact, we were held up at gunpoint in our driveway. They followed us and drove in before the gates could close - terrifying experience. Regards,Jennifer.

G'day Tom … sounds right up my alley. One year my brother answered the door in an imitation blood soaked apron and severed hand. Poor kids were in total shook, but took the treats anyway - thanks Tom - Lindsay

We always buy more candy than we need because whatever is leftover we get to eat ourselves. Nicely done, Tom.

We have Halloween in US and kids do act in unpredictable ways when they are in a hunt for candy..good advice Tom.

Thanks sunshine, no they don't here , will be back in UK before then. It's gotten big in the uk, shops full of ghoul stuff, personally I don't think its a good idea, some of the masks could give the eldeley a heart attack. Hope all's well. Tom
