I must die each day  
die to remorse and regret

wow, this is amazingly good. I did not make the list. I hope it is for the fact that i wrote of romantic love and not because she hated my tanka. I saw almost everyone got on her list!!

What a spiritual write, Tim. We all have our crosses to bear as well as our regrets. It is hope that allows us to rise up again. Congratulations on your first-place win! (Now how about sending me a footle on football. No one has even mentioned LSU or the Saints. I'd hate to see them left out, especially with several footles on Alabama.) Best wishes, carolyn
