Dusky Twirls

Special treats under autumn's sky Apple cider and pumpkin pie And turkey roasted golden brown Picturesque scenes all around Gently falling autumn leaves Dance on a melancholy eve And color my mood in russet swirls And paint silhouettes in dusky twirls Leaves crunch beneath my feet As lights flicker on in the street Reflections of summer unfurl As the wind blows leaves in a whirl A season haunted by Halloween Ghosts and goblins and monsters mean An interlude before winter takes hold Where snowflakes swirl in the cold 10-22-2021

I love all the last three stanzas. The first, I had best forget. I'm too overweight. Oh what a sumptuous fare. :)
