During My Birthday

during my birthday
many visitors came
a dog without a tail
a girl without breasts
a snake that bites not
cat without eyes, ears
a bird with no wings
driver without vehicle
baby clothes they brought
when I asked them “why?”
I was told to shut up as
I could be as foolish that day
as the things that came
on the day I was born
