Ah i didnt know what is a dunnock too had to google , but your explanation below helped. I love the way youve written this. Your way with writing is so unique and creative! I wasn't familiar with the dunnock until I found it in your poem and looked up what type of bird a dunnock is. A unique creation, Clive...I especially liked the last line....enjoy your Tuesday, Sara

Ooh we take our wildlife for granted really, it never occured you might not have Dunnocks in Texas or even America, they're common hedgerow birds the size of a sparrow, I live in a very rural county in England and I see them a lot when I walk the dogs. They really are a bird surrounded by the squiggle of hedge branches.
