Dumpsters of the Deep

What do you do with a heavy heart? As it is thrown to sea and slowly drifts apart What do you do with a terrified tear? As it fills with sorrow and frivolous fear What do you do with a shattered smile? When it is marooned on an isolated Isle What do you do with a skeletal soul? As it is condemned to a hellish hole What do you do with an egregious Earth? Decadently decaying as it loses its mirth They gather within the dumpsters of the deep As they stare back and woundingly weep. July.18.2016 Garbage - Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Anthony Slausen

What do you do indeed. Maybe an anecdote will do until we find an antidote. You show us your heart and blood and sweat and tears in each and every poem. You must have a loving heart to bestow such beauty on your fellow poets in the soup. David.
