Dumpster Dawn

Rats argue with the seagulls.
An “eau de low tide” scent rides the fog.
As feral cats hiss at the sunrise
leashed dogs do their business
“tricks for treats” traitors.
The sound of traffic signals….”LAST CALL!”

very original, John. This is what I love most about your poetry. It's always fresh and different. Well, maybe not always, but I'd say most of the time. you are definitely one of the most talented writers in my followed poets list
