Notes About The Poem

Drummer Boy

I have no comfort,
to bring to you…
No drum to start a song.
No gift for innocence.

I have never lost a child.
Let me cry now.

My most precious prayers,
to our heavenly Lord,
for every comfort,
“You” will…need…

I can bring you a pie,
I will bake it from scratch.
I will cut fresh flowers from,
my angel’s garden patch.

Above all the rest, I will kneel.

I have no comfort, yet “its” here.
An answer to “all” and “every”, fear.

I will hug you and cry again.
The truest fact, my heart will…
Never stop, as I hope and pray
I will never know…

Loss,
as I now know sorrow,
in my deepest heart,
for my friend,

You.

To find a friend in need, We should start to speed; Find a friend, Until the end; We desire God and always agreed.
