Drug Called Desire

Red lights of resistance all tell me to turn away
Stop signs say "No,this is the wrong and wicked way"
But your green eyes they shine and tell me to go on anyway
And just like a prowler I pounce from the pan straight into your fire
Drawn into darkness by a drug called desire

With a smile like the sun you lit up the land
Like a lioness waits on a little lost lamb
On the road to ruination this love struck rabbit runs his last mad mile
Drawn to destruction by a drug called desire

Your sharp fangs now glimmer underneath a silver moon
Your red eyes are roaming, seeking to feast on another bold fool
And just like a tool you use me till I'm bent and I'm broken
Your toxic tongue traps me now I'm coughing and choking
My soul is now smoking
In purple pain shadows you leave me to die
Drawn into death by a drug called desire

Thank you and I know that the great ones don't need to loudly advertise...but time will tell the tale in its own sweet time
