Drowning In Sorrows

The shadow of the darkness surrounds her as she watches him leave with sorrow, the presence of him fading every second that goes by. Crushed and confused, she falls to her knees, praying for death to take her away from this stabboring pain. The agony arises in her body as she gazes upon the footsteps that led away from her loving heart. Tears drain from her eyes as she takes one last glimpse of the man that pillaged her heart. Face down in the dirt, she began drowning in herself in her own sorrows. The guilt that'd overcame her has settled in her heart forever, never to be forgotten.
