Drowning in Darkness a Writers Curse

My soul yearns to wander
the thoughts of beauty
where my dreams drift endlessly
on winds of wishes
when I read the words
forming in my mind
as metaphors scatter cold
and sentences run wild
and I'm drawn toward
mystic meadows of wordy mists
where illusions are scribed
in wondrous wonder
to become crumbled pages
of poems that could have been

Tonight I'll cry for my unwritten words
as I sit before the fire
and toast to my heart
beating like a drum
calling out the poems in my mind
that vanished, leaving me empty
drowning in darkness

Dear Frederic, You might not know, but I faved this! Because of how real raw and sincere it is and how it resonates so deeply! Especially just love "as metaphors scatter cold and sentences run wild and I'm drawn toward mystic meadows of wordy mists where illusions are scribed in wondrous wonder to become crumbled pages" brilliance! Such soulful emotions, so vulnerable and true. I like such honesty! Pleasure reading. Sending you light always

I love the images you shared. I hope you can get the ones you see onto paper in a way meaningful to you. Just let the lines speak to you and see what you discover.

I, too, cry for unwritten words--when they vanish, I, too, feel a certain emptiness. Well said. Faving.

- Overwhelming emotions, Frederic - Emotions are experienced so physically... they are painful - hugs

ohhh, my Frederic. Where did these lamentable lines spill into your mind? You and I have both written of darkness over loves we've lost, but the tears we've shed were not meant to drown us. This is one of your darkest, but I see it as one of your emotional best!

There are times when our hearts choose our path and we are helpless to turn away.

seems our passions were the path we took finding our way through the wilderness
