Driving Force

Sweet memories of her remain
since she stopped by my desk that day
and saw my artwork clear and plain,
amazed that I could draw that way.

My fourth-grade teacher hugged me tight
and whispered, "You are gifted, dear."
Through many years, she gave me light;
this special Nun had shaped my sphere.

The feeling she left me is strong;
her driving force- my gift, lifelong.
