Drive Thru Poetry

Make that venerable quill scurry, scurry.
Poetry as meanngless as bingo, bingo!
Shred classic poetry out the window, window .
Tiny comments, only, we, so terribly busy, busy?
We drool for only short poetry trophy glory, glory.
Create ant sized poems is our story, story?
         Make your poems, crunchy, crunchy!
We only intend to be comfy, comfy.

         Similar to a mono-rhyme, I call this a duo-rhyme.
And, no, poetry through the ages, was never
meant to be a bedfellow, nor a twin of texting.
Neither, to be a twin of a post at a social media site!

*Thank you to all the talented poets here who write
with grace, elegance, plus extraordinary beauty.
You are greatly appreciated by this poetess!

Dear friend, Gershon. Did you see Paul’s comment? “ a poem, not as simple, as it appears to be!” Me? Cute? Never! Always some messaging in my poetry. It was a tribute to those fine poets here who are not cute, I do not include myself as one of the best. Not a chance.still after three years, just a dweebish beginner! I don’t go by number of comments, but how gym poems weigh on the scale of good poetry. Stilll have years to go to reach that level. Be well. Pangie

An enjoyable poem which is not as simple as it looks on the surface! Definitely not "meaningless as bingo bingo" :) The reference to comments reminds me of monosyllables which someone used to post 'lavishly'. ~ Hope you are keeping well, my friend; enjoy the weekend / paul

Greetings, Paul. You are right! This poem may look simplistic, but it is not! Thank you so much for catching the depth. Ugh, one word comments! Worse. Primary or Kindergarten at best. The comment says nothing about the poem. No critique, either! Mentioning a specific quote is a help to me from the poem. Boo on express type comments! I am familiar with those monosyllabic comments…they still are made, Paul. At least use a theasaurus, thee syllables won’t kill a poet. With gratitude,Pangie

Interesting concept, Pangie. A success I think. A bit of "a sign of the times" commentary along the way. :o)

Greetings, Arlo! Indeed, a sign of the times! It is only my opinion. We all have limits on our times, yes? However, we all went to school. Some here have PhD’s.comments can be beautiful as a poem. But many into comments that I know are a race track to be on top of the Comments Billboard. Better be in contests. I don’t care who made the most comments or for that matter, poems. Both are a farce!I had to have a published poet, of 50 books, tell me the Quality of the poem comes first, not the Quantity. That hit me like a ton of bricks. Imagine Shakespeare, driven by ego to pen , TEN a day? I had that disease when I came here, ugh.and not all mine are good! Write for quality only. Thank you,,Pangie

:)) Love it! Well, I am all for Free Verse myself...but within my Free Verse is 60 years of classical study. It is woven into the fabric of each of my poems. If people don't see it, it is not because it is not there~ my poetry may just stink, despite all my efforts. What the heck! Blessings my friend. Enjoyed your poem very much.

Prince, do not demean your poetry. I was not referring to gree verse at all. You read Pie which is a signal you read classical poetry.i am a new poet and writing in iambic pentameter is hard, for me. But, it’s still a goal. Your poetry shows deep thoughts…….Glad you liked this one…Merci…… Pangie
