Drip

Drip Drip Drip
A drop here and a drop there
They all add up, without any flair
Drip with a penny
Drip with a nickel
Drip with a quarter
Drip with a dollar
Over and over
This is how
Poets one day
Become rich enough to write and stay
With time to think and time to ponder
How mathematical compounding is such a wonder
Math and science and philosophical notes
Fate and destinies become very mote
We are, what we are
We will be what will be
With a little education
We can become more free
So I kiss the artistic mind that one day
Taught me compounding is here to stay

Big companies to allow the small investor to accumulate shares in a company.

Great write. I was lucky to work for a Co. that allowed us to buy shares. After I left everything changed, but from a child I was taught the value of a dollar. Thanks for sharing... Lucilla

Every little bit counts in life. Thanks for the footnote...it did help. [Several years back we had a water problem in Malta and we were urged to save every drop...a slogan that seems to have worked.] // paul
