Drifting Plankton

I was thinking
of you touching my belly
in one moment in time,
and me kissing your shoulder
in another.

I was thinking
of talk
and whiskey,
the sound of bass
and shyness.

I have no wishes.
I was just thinking
how it could be
if the world stayed round
but got so much smaller,
for only one room to be,
for you and me.
