Dreams Uprooted

Dreams uprooted, leaving scars Never a wish on a falling star As melancholy rhythms echo from guitars Despair the spaceship drifting afar A sliver of hope ride on moonbeams Which may yet fulfill the dream But it's obscured by clouds in ebon streams Which hides the truth, eclipses its gleam The heart awaits the truth to shine To burst forth from celestial avatars Free the soul from the twisted vine And let dreams glow among the stars 10-14- 2021

Joseph your poetry is soulful and so touching - a dream uprooted, now that is intense imagery my friend, and absolutely wonderful. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I have never thought about a dream being uprooted. Yes, it would leave a heart feeling empty. Your words caress softly around me. May all your dreams take you to the stars. Hugs, Brandy

I like the turn in the second and third stanza. Great ending lines, Joseph: --Free the soul from the twisted vine And let dreams glow among the stars.
