Dreams From My Father
DREAMS FROM MY FATHER
Out of nothingness
Beneath the apparent certainty; lies a promise
Promise of a wonderful future; one of a kind
A made believe that the bushes will turn into flowers
A prophecy that my paths will become roads
Nexus of contradiction; this dreams lack strong foundation
When I awoke from it; I remembered nothing.
The good shall get better
All the best; the best wishes his son
To be better than the father is all the father hopes
To take on the dragons of fate; he prays
To carry on the family beyond the fortress of the clan
To leave the family footprints in the sands of time
All good hopes and wishes; if only dreams come true.
Efforts on efforts amidst the forces of nature
Always struggling to keep up with the struggles of life
Swimming against the tides in the sea of hustle
Making me think that my father might actually be a seer
He foretold that it won’t be an easy sail in the sea
All as he said has come to pass overtime with time
Upon reflections; this is my dream for my son.
