There isn't much to mourn for all that we owed There is nothing with being smitten on the road We lost our youthful fantasies in an instant Tethered to the rack, the house seems so distant We may run on a lovely rose or an awful thorn We had a dream that spring was born Relish life's sunshine and erase the ugliness Finding flaws in oneself is sheer loveliness We must cherish the highs and let pass the gloom Crimson roses will bloom after bloom We're scathing by the grief and dread of the past I realize each moment has gone by so fast Our days were filled with excruciating emptiness A supreme essence born out of nothingness Broken dreams may have left us desolate One cannot be so doomed by fate Once we began, our tales remain insufficient Blissfully naive and properly inconsistent Setting greater goals will support, not dreams Now a while has flown by, it seems.

yes, this is all too true. By a certain age we realize the dreams are impossible.

Many in this world have felt the disappointments of life. You described it well for them: Our days were filled with excruciating emptiness A supreme essence born out of nothingness...
