Dreams Die In Obscurity

Love oft feels like an uphill race, yet, win or lose, you can't abstain. And only time can heal the wound of a heart ravaged by love's pain. Fledgling wings clipped by betrayal can't take off; in pursuit of truth. And every cut gets less discreet as hope hardens the hearts of youth. When reality is revealed, trust defends the lies love clung to. And as happiness disappears, life seems surreal and untrue. Tears hide behind a mask of smiles, not to show the pain you're feeling. And yet, your heart's devastated, for broken hearts require healing. Tempted by sexual urges, innocence lost its purity. And so, in this uncaring world, dreams oft die in obscurity. Strong and rich imagery, Emile. "only time can ease the hurt of a heart hollowed out by pain." How true that life seems so dark without love and "anger hardens hearts of youth."
