Dreams and Nightmares

I dread shutting my eyes every night
flooded with thoughts and scenarios
Running from this one
Conversations with that one
Things getting stolen
Animals getting killed
To close to home
for my cup of tea
I wish I could wake up
and hold you next to me
because I don't want to go
back in that dream world
I need to tire myself out
So my mind can't make movies
with all this time I'm relaxed and not stressed
I don't like it one bit
I'm making plans and presents
So I hope this works
Always and Forever

What a beautiful morning. The sun is finally shining, the birds are singing, and I am sharing my day with you reading your wonderful poetry. Can't get much better then this. I hope you have a great weekend Corinne. Love, Carol
