Dreaming of Her Handsome Prince
Waterfall in the distance, elaborate bridge sheltering the floral vine,
The prince of her dreams was holding her close, saying “be mine”.
Cat nuzzled in, to remind her that he was on her side, her friend.
She held on to the romance novel, loving it until the very end.
We don’t need a man, cat told her. We are complete as we are.
The reader was staring out the window though, wishing on a star.
Let’s make our own rainbow river, cat suggested, in a sly way.
He wanted to give his imaginative mistress the best kind of Saturday.
The reader dressed prettily and went to bed, dreaming of her man.
Loyal, kind, generous, honest, loving, attentive, he was her biggest fan.
Cat snuggled up next to her, showing that he had everything she could need.
Inside his mistress’s romantic dream was a handsome prince upon a steed.
