Dreaming

dreaming of springtime
trees coming into new life....
the earth’s renewal


dreaming of summer
shadows languid and lazy....
leftover sunshine


dreaming of autumn
gold stretching across branches....
covering the ground


dreaming of winter
frozen fields of waiting life....
iced-in patience
